If the alliance happens, BJP will have a Thackerey on his side which is considered important in Maharashtra politics. Raj Thackerey has massive following in Maharshtra and is often seen by many as successor of Late Balasaheb Thackerey due to his similar style of speeches and politics. He parted ways with undivided Shivsena in 2006 then led by Uddhav Thackery. Later Raj Thackerey formed his own Party on similar ideology as ShivSena of Hindutva and Devlopment of Maharashtra.
